Past Collaborations
Society for Young Advocates and Researchers (SYAR India) takes pride in organizing events that bring together experienced lawyers, industry mentors, faculty, and students, with a common interest in dispute resolution and negotiation skills. For every edition, our collaborating partners have provided invaluable support in the form of assessors, judges, resource materials, and internship opportunities. Their involvement not only uplifts the quality of our competitions but also helps us maintain high standards of fairness and learning for all participants.
Our collaborations go beyond the traditional event format. We have hosted interactive training sessions, skill-building workshops, and feedback sessions, with the support of senior professionals from the legal community. These add-ons enable students to ask questions, clarify concepts, and discuss ongoing trends in mediation and negotiation directly with seniors in the field. Such experiences enrich the academic curriculum with real-world discussion that aids in professional development.
Many of our partner firms have expressed appreciation for the fresh insights and enthusiasm that students bring to these competitions. Through internships, campus engagement, and guest lectures, they have built long-term relationships with the SYAR network. In turn, participants have gained practical exposure at leading law firms and mediation offices, sometimes translating these short-term opportunities into career-defining permanent positions.
SYAR’s approach encourages transparency and knowledge-sharing. Each partnership is founded on a shared goal: to promote best practices in negotiation and mediation, uphold ethical standards, and prepare the next generation of lawyers for complex, cross-border legal work. We carefully curate our events to include diverse practice areas and perspectives, reflecting the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of legal problem-solving today.
By collaborating with reputable organizations, SYAR is able to constantly raise the bar for student competitions in India. We value the trust and support of all our past partners and look forward to welcoming new collaborators who want to make a meaningful impact on the legal profession. If your organization shares these values and wishes to be part of future editions, please get in touch with us at mail@syarindia.in.
